Prevent solid line without my request.

When making a form I try making a few straight lines and then hit Enter and it goes back and makes one wide black line instead of allowing me to continue typing another paragraph. How do I turn off that 'automatic' dark line? Thank you

Example:
typing a paragraph, form, to be hand written in later.

Enter new paragraph
At the Enter it removes the 4 lines and replaces them with one wide line.

Creating lines for a Form
by: Jennifer

It look like you are using the underscore key on the keyboard to create your lines. Word is set up by default to change the line. Try creating your form lines using the insert shape button. It is located in the insert tab of Word. Select the line option and click and drag it in the area you want the line to appear. Once you have created your line change the layout option so the text is either in front of the line or make the line fixed on the page. If you do not make this change your line may move on your page when you are typing.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if it works or if you need more help.
