The Review tab contains the editing feature, comments, track changes and workbook protection options. These features make is easy to share the data with the proper information while ensuring the data is secure.
We use proofing to correct the typing mistakes through spelling options. Start by going to the Review tab and select the Spelling command from the Proofing group.
As you can see below, the Spelling window shows there is a possible spelling error. Our options in the window are to Ignore the suggestion, Add to Dictionary, and Change the spelling. Make your selection and the dialog box will automatically close or go to the next error in your worksheet.
Open the Research task pane by selecting the Research command in the Proofing section. Here you can search through reference materials, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias and translation services (as shown below). Select the drop-down arrow in the task pane to choose from the different reference books. Type your keywords in the Search for field. You can close the Research task pane out at any time by selecting the “x” in the top-right hand corner.
Selecting the Thesaurus command in the Proofing group will also open the task pane. Select a word and click on Thesaurus or type it into the Search for field within the task pane. The Thesaurus will suggest other words with a similar meaning to the word you have selected.
