To get sounds to play on your computer you need to make sure you have speakers of some sort connected to your computer. They may be built in. The sound settings are located in the control panel. Open control panel and select sound. This will open the sound window will open. You can adjust all of the settings in this window. There are 4 tabs if you are using Windows 7. If your speakers are working properly there will be a green check mark next to them. You may need to select a different default speaker to make the sound work. There are several options to go over in this window. If you have specific questions about the settings please post them.

If the volume is all the way up in the lower right corner you will need to change your speaker volume. If it is built into the computer and not an external speaker it may be as loud as it will go. Some programs also have volume associated with them. Try the program you are using volume control.
