Setting Tabs/Inserting table

To set tabs in Word 2007 make sure your ruler is displayed by clicking the ruler button above the right hand scroll bar. The tab choices are a button located to the left of the ruler. click the tab button until you find the style tab you would like then click on the ruler to set the tab in the specific location you can set multiple tabs of the same or different styles.

If you are trying to create a table and tab through the cells click on the insert tab and select table. A table will drop down for you to highlight the number of rows and columns you would like to create. When you make your selection click the left mouse button and the table will be inserted into your Word document with the lines dividing the cells.
